Final Thoughts

AEAH 3750

Had an amazing expeience learning so many wonderful Art/Craft lessons. I was able to explore once again my drawring techniques and was able to use my imagination with all my projectst that I produced throughout the semester.

The project that I enjoy working on the most were the Black and White drawing, Lady-Bug and the Paper Mache. Even though, all three projects took a while to complete. At the end, it was all worth working for.

Most definitly, I will plan to use the activites with my future students. Art is what makes a child express him/her emotions. Nontheless, having fun and painting is the whole part of their learning process.

Furthermore, this class was such a great class!!! Will be missed but most importantly, I give thanks to Ms. Harris for allowing us to learn new and fun things.

Molly from the Comfy Couch (Puppet)

Molly

This is Molly, made out of Paper Mache. At first I didn't know where to start from. So I began to experiement. I painted her face, arms, and nose first. Then i painted the blue. I waiting until it dryed out completely and applied the hair with tied sections. Once the hair was added, I added her eyes and a slight white dot so that the eyes would be defined. Finally, I applied Mod Podge so that the paint wouldn't crack and made her shiny. The last picture as you can see is the end result of my puppet.

Black and White

This image is a live drawing that I did at my aunts restroom. As you can see there is detail on the shading so that each piece can be defined according to how the light is reflecting. Took quiet a while, but it turned out great!

Water-Colors

This was a drawing that I did, experimenting with water-colors. Based on an artist named Wassily Kadnisky.  I constructed my paintings with different symbols and shapes so that it would look different. It was really fun!

Lady-Bug made with Tissue Paper

This Lady-Bug was inspired by Eric Carle...
What I did was, I painted different patterns onto tissue paper and made it colorful.
Subsequent to that, I drew a simple outline of a Lady-Bug.
Then, I cut out the tissue paper and pasted inside the lady bug to make it decorative.
Soon after I pasted the tissue paper, i began to paint to outside so that the picture would not look tooooo simple. So i added some grass, birds, and the sun.
Overall, this project was a great experience and I had lots of fun.

THEN!!!!!

with the remaining of the paint... I decided to add Aloe trees =)
